Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 5, 2026

Confabl (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides software for managing 1:1 meetings. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to confabl.com and the Confabl application (together, the “Service”).

By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Who we are

Confabl is operated by Confabl. If you have questions about this policy or your data, contact us at joe@confabl.com.

Information we collect

Information you provide directly

  • Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and the workspace you belong to. If you sign in through a third-party provider, we receive basic profile information from that provider.
  • Meeting content. When you use Confabl, we store the content you create: 1:1 agendas, talking points, tasks, notes, metrics, and related meeting materials. This content may include information about you and the people you meet with.
  • Communications. If you contact us for support or fill out a form (including lead or interest forms), we collect the information you submit, such as your name, email, company, and role.

Information we collect automatically

  • Usage data. We collect information about how you interact with the Service, such as pages viewed, features used, and actions taken. This helps us understand and improve the product.
  • Device and log data. We automatically collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and access times.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. We and our providers use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember your preferences, and measure usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.
  • Advertising identifiers. If you reach us through an online ad, we may receive an identifier (such as a click ID) that tells us the ad you came from, so we can measure which campaigns are effective.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including your account and workspace;
  • Store and display the meeting content you and your workspace create;
  • Improve and develop the Service, including understanding how it is used;
  • Communicate with you about your account, updates, security, and support;
  • Send you product or marketing communications where permitted (you can opt out at any time);
  • Measure the effectiveness of our marketing, including ads you may have clicked;
  • Protect the security and integrity of the Service and prevent misuse;
  • Comply with legal obligations.

How your information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these circumstances:

  • Within your workspace.Confabl is collaborative. Meeting content, your name, and your role are visible to other members of your workspace according to the Service’s permissions. People you have 1:1s with can see the shared content of those meetings.
  • Service providers. We use trusted third-party providers to run the Service. These include hosting and infrastructure (such as Vercel and Supabase), email delivery (such as Resend), and analytics (such as Google Analytics). These providers process data on our behalf and are bound to protect it.
  • Advertising and analytics partners. We use platforms such as Google Ads and LinkedIn to run and measure advertising. These platforms may receive limited information to attribute and measure campaigns.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Confabl, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers. If Confabl is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete content or close your account, we delete the associated data, though some information may be retained where required for legal, security, or operational reasons. Note that content deletion in Confabl is permanent.

Your choices and rights

  • Access and update. You can view and update your account information within the Service.
  • Deletion. You can delete content and request deletion of your account by contacting us at joe@confabl.com.
  • Marketing opt-out. You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in those messages.
  • Regional rights. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information — such as the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data, or to object to certain uses. To exercise these rights, contact us at joe@confabl.com.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including access controls and data isolation between workspaces. No system is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data and respond to issues promptly.

Data storage and transfers

Your information may be stored and processed in the United States or other countries where we or our providers operate. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to locations that may have different data protection rules than your own.

Children’s privacy

The Service is intended for use by people in a workplace context and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
